Health Guarantee & Care
We guarantee perfectly healthy babies. Our kittens are well-bred Persians, hardy and healthy. When our kittens are six weeks old, each is immunized, de-wormed and carefully examined by a licensed veterinarian. We keep detailed records of all vaccinations, exams and kitten development. All new owners are provided these details along with a written health guarantee from Shadewater Cattery.
We insist our kittens be kept indoors, safe from transmission of disease and parasites, as well as the dangers of urban life. A Persian can easily live as a family member for 15 years, some surpassing 20 years with proper nutrition and care and annual trips to a trusted veterinarian.
Their big eyes and long flowing coats require regular and proper maintenance. A small amount of tearing in their large eyes is normal, requiring daily eye and face washes. A daily run-through with a metal comb helps eliminates tangles and hairballs. An occasional bath, after a complete comb-through and clipping of nail tips, will keep the coat clean, healthy and beautiful. It is wise to establish a routine of grooming when they are young kittens.
Contracts
Your kitten's health guarantee extends for three (3) working days from the date of final purchase. You may return your kitten only in the event of a life-threatening illness.

- De-wormed at 3-weeks of age with 1cc Strongid T.S.L.C.
- 1cc ALBON at 4-weeks of age, then 0.5cc daily for 13 days.
- First shots - 6 weeks.
- Additional shots - 9 weeks and 12 weeks.
